Last Sunday we visited the Lake. I saw a little bird among the coffee plantations with shade trees, decorative chalets and lakeside willows. What caught my attention was a pair of Cucusa Chipmunks ( Piaya cayana ) flying from tree to tree with their long striped tails. You could hear the song of the doves (Columbina inca ) and (Zenaida asiatica ) songthrush ( Dives dives) and Matracas Nuquirrufas ( Campylorhynchus rufinucha ). No shortage of colorful orioles and a flock of parakeets. A House Wren (Troglodytes aedon ) jumped near the trash on the shores of the lake. Several Carpenters Frentidorado (Melanerpes aurifrons ) roamed the large and leafy willows.
